Catch run-away pantones with Separation Preview

When working with pantones I often keep the Separations preview open. Click on the overprint preview box to see how the inks will overprint on the press. This helps beginners avoid pre-press errors. Also, if you can't find where you left a pantone you can simply click off the cmyk and see the image that is left.

Pantone Harmony Rules

Today I found a way to pick Harmonies while using only pantone colors. First, pick the pantone color that you would like to create the Harmony from. Next, set the base color to the Pantone. Click the Edit Colors button.

Color Guide

load the pantone swatch library by clicking the farthest box to the right. I choose the pantone solid coated.

Designing With Color Groups

Designing with color groups is a great way to build speed in choosing the correct color combination. By creating color groups you can choose between multiple sets and instantly change your design. There is no need to go in and change each individual color.

Simply click the Create New Color Group button in the Swatch panel. After creating the new color group select your entire design and double click on the new color group. Walla! Your design has changed instantly.
